WERNI STOCK AWARDED THE STAND OUT AT NATURAL SELECTION

The Natural Selection, a backcountry freestyle competition is back, and better than ever!  The creative mind behind Natural Selection is none other than Travis Rice, and he put on the test event at his home mountain of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  

Over the course of a week the worlds best backcountry freestyle riders descended upon a course that was created by the mind of Rice.  Massive step downs, gap jumps, and pillowly airtime were a handful of features that you would have seen on the course.

Of all the riders that had the chance to open it up on a world class powder run, our very own Werni Stock was the official stand out of the event.  Nominated by all the other riders, Werni stood out from the rest of the pack, sending it on the massive step down, and linking an incredible run on the moto style gap jumps.  We are incredibly proud of Werni, and can't wait to see what he gets into when the event begins in 2021.

Next year, the Natural Selection will be hosting three stops on their tour.  The kick off of the event will start in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, then moving to Baldface, and finishing off in Alaska at the Tordrillo Mountains.  These are three locations that Travis believes gives the riders the best chance to showcase their big mountain freestyle skills.
